Georgia’s Surgery Center at Mt. Zion Relocates, Changes Name

The Morrow, Ga.-based Surgery Center at Mt. Zion has been renamed Spivey Station Surgery Center and relocated to Jonesboro, Ga., according to a news release.

The Jonesboro location includes new services such as an Internet café, special children’s soundproof recovery rooms, operating rooms with telesurgery capabilities, self -warming patient gowns, a patient dining area and a kid’s only waiting area.

Spivey Station, which is a joint venture with nearby Southern Regional Health System and several physicians, sees around 5,000 patients annually and specializes in otolaryngology, pain management, podiatry, general surgery, orthopedics, urology and gynecology.

A grand opening event will be held at the new location on May 3 from 2-5 p.m. and will feature family-oriented activities and a health fair.
