Yesterday, a federal grand jury charged the one-time vice president of Louisville-based National Respiratory Services with misbranding drugs and conspiracy to commit healthcare fraud, according to a briefing from the Lexington Herald-Leader.
Johnny Perry received a five-count indictment, alleging that he received more than $3.7 million in Medicare payments and fraudulent claims through the company. The jury also charged that from Nov. 2006-June 2008, Mr. Perry and others misbranded inhalation drugs to misrepresent the strength of their active ingredients.
