Dr. Ibrahim worked in Charlestown for more than 30 years until his abrupt departure last month. He surrendered his DEA license allowing him to prescribe controlled substances, but the DEA has refused to discuss the case.
Informed of the DEA action, the state licensing board changed Dr. Ibrahim’s license status to “valid to practice while being reviewed” and asked the state attorney general’s office to investigate the case to determine whether any violations were committed.
