Florida VA Hospital Adds Surgery Center

Bay Pines (Fla.) VA Medical Center is constructing a new medical building that will include an ASC and eye treatment center, according to a report by the Seminole Beacon.

The new $8.4 million, 30,000-square-foot building will feature four operating rooms and digital equipment for minimally invasive surgeries,

The center will perform cataract surgery, arthroscopies, biopsies, excisions and ENT and plastic surgery procedures, according to the report.

The building is expected to open in 2011, according to the report.
