The surgery center, which features four operating rooms, opened in 1994 and was owned by 16 local physicians.
The Venice Regional Medical Center has stepped in to perform upcoming surgeries scheduled at the center and is working with many of the surgery center staff members who are interested in finding positions at the hospital.
