DSM Collaborates with AdeTherapeutics to Develop Pain Management and Scar Reduction Product for Spine Surgeries

DSM, a global science-based company active in health, nutrition and materials, and AdeTherapeutics, a clinical-stage product development company located in Canada, signed a joint collaboration agreement to accelerate DSM’s scar reduction and pain management product development strategy in neurosurgery, according to a news release.

The build-up of scar tissue has been linked to 20-36 percent of failed back surgery syndrome which can cause chronic pain and difficulty operating on the spine again.
