Medical Device Recalls Continue to Increase in Third Quarter

In the third quarter of 2011, medical device recalls increased slightly but affected almost twice as many units, according to a Stericycle ExpertRECALL news release.

According to FDA reports, 16 percent fewer pharmaceutical units were affected in the third quarter than the second quarter of 2011, even though there was an increase in the number of actual recalls.
