Ebola patient recovers fully; discharged from NIH facility

The Ebola patient, who had been receiving care at the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center Special Clinical Studies Unit in Bethesda, Md., has made a full recovery and has been discharged, according to a USA Today report.

The patient was a health worker with an international aid group who contracted the Ebola virus while volunteering in Sierra Leone. He was admitted on March and was the 11th Ebola patient treated in the Unites States. NIH has not yet released any details regarding his care.

The patient is no longer considered contagious, and he was discharged in good health, according to the report.
