As a result of the acquisition, SourceMedical is forming a new division within the company known as Revenue Cycle Solutions. ASC billing services is the first of several planned product and service offerings in the division, according to a company news release.
Caryl Serbin, SCB’s president and founder, and her management team will join the Revenue Cycle Solutions division. “We recognize the strength of our combined organizations, and feel strongly that this will provide the ASC market with a unique solution which provides unprecedented control and flexibility in the hands of the surgery center,” said Ms. Serbin, according to the release.
“SourceMedical continuously seeks opportunities to respond to industry needs,” said Larry McTavish, CEO of SourceMedical, according to the release. “This acquisition further builds upon our goal of providing comprehensive solutions to our clients.”
Ms. Serbin’s ASC management company, Surgery Consultants of America, is not part of the acquisition and will discontinue operations.
