Apollo Endosurgery Raises $47.6M in New Financing

Apollo Endosurgery, a developer of advanced therapeutic endoscopy devices, raised $47.6 million in a round of financing, according to a news release.

The financing will support the commercial launch of the second generation OverStitch/Endoscopic Suturing System and other Apollo Endosurgery surgical tools. New investors are Novo A/S, Remeditex Ventures and CPMG. Jack Nielsen of Novo A/S, John Creecy of Remeditex and Kent McGaughy of CPMG will join the Apollo Endosurgery board of directors.
