CareFusion to Acquire Pharmacy Automation Technology Company

CareFusion has announced it has reached an agreement to acquire PHACTS, a Seattle-based technology and consulting company that works with hospital pharmacies to improve inventory management, according to a news release.

PHACTS products include both software and automation solutions for health systems and hospital pharmacies. The company will be added to CareFusion’s Pyxis dispensing technologies portfolio. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

 

The acquisition is expected to close in the fourth quarter of CareFusion’s fiscal year 2012.
