Here are three things to know:
1. Seventeen hospitals and health facilities in Washington, Oregon and Idaho received the grants.
2. Thirteen Washington hospitals and health centers, two Idaho hospitals and two Oregon health centers will receive grants.
3. The money will go toward staff training, resources and initiatives to improve patient safety and health outcomes while reducing risks.
