“The healthcare plan, as passed, means the end of private medicine and private insurance and it will force everybody into costly plans that will be like the mother of managed care,” said Jane Orient, MD, executive director of the Tucson, Ariz.-based group.
Dr. Orient predicted costs will go up, waiting lines will grow and doctors will be “constantly answering to bureaucrats and filing forms” under health reform.
