1. The Leapfrog Group ranks 2,500 hospitals nationally based on factors like hospital-acquired infections and patient falls.
2. Of the 40 Colorado hospitals, 15 hospitals received “A” scores, ranking them in the top 10 of national hospitals.
3. Porter Adventist Hospital in Denver, Rose Medical Center in Denver and Sky Ridge Medical Center in Lone Tree all received the “A” score since Leapfrog first created the list in spring 2012.
4. Parker Adventist Hospital jumped from a “C” grade in spring 2015 to an “A” grade on the list.
5. Although no Colorado hospitals failed in patient safety, Community Hospital in Grand Junction and Lutheran Hospital Association of San Luis Valley in Alamosa received “D” grades.
