Flor Crisologo admitted to submitting approximately $23 million in false and fraudulent claims to Medicare for HIV injection and infusion services purportedly provided to patients. Ms. Crisologo additionally confessed to hiring and conspiring with a physician and others to order unnecessary tests, sign false medical analyses and diagnosis forms and authorize treatments to make it appear HIV injection and infusion services were being provided to Medicare beneficiaries, according to the report.
She also admitted that she and her conspirators paid kickbacks to Medicare beneficiaries for claiming they received services that were either never rendered or not medically necessary.
