Cerner Partners With Deffenbaugh Industries for Worksite Health and Wellness Center

Cerner Corp. has partnered with Deffenbaugh Industries, a Kansas City, Kan.-based waste and recycling service company, to develop an employee health and wellness center at the Deffenbaugh headquarters, according to a Cerner news release.

The onsite health and wellness center will provide primary and urgent care, occupational health, pharmacy services and a wellness program that promotes cholesterol management, weight loss, diabetes management and smoking cessation. Under the partnership, Cerner will provide expertise on reducing the cost associated with delivering healthcare.

The company is also partnering with CBIZ, a business services company that provides consultation on finances and employee management, in the project to develop the onsite clinic.
