New Georgia Surgery Center Included in Plans for Athens Medical Complex

A new ASC will occupy the ground floor of a new medical complex in Athens, Ga., according a report by the Athens Banner-Herald.

The Athens Medical Complex will be two medical office buildings totaling 56,000 square feet and expected to cost $16 million-$20 million. On the ground floor of one of the buildings will be a 16,000-square-foot ASC leased by a ground of physicians and investors under the name of The Surgery Center of Athens.

 

The surgery center is expected to be completed by Dec. 2011, according to the report.
