CareFusion Purchases 40% Stake in Israel Medical Device Company for $100M

CareFusion will pay $100 million to purchase a 40 percent stake in Israel-based Caesarea Medical Electronics, according to a Haaretz report.

CME, a maker of infusion and syringe pumps, will operate independently but CareFusion will now have the right to make itself a minority shareholder, as part of a strategic, long-term relationship.

CareFusion plans to complete the transaction by the end of March.
