BCBS of North Carolina is partnering with WellPoint and expanding access to a health survey tool from Zagat, most commonly known as a dining, travel and leisure activities rankings and reviews company.
The Zagat Health Survey, currently available to customers in WellPoint’s affiliated health plans, will allow BCBS of North Carolina customers to review their physicians visits based upon:
- trust;
- communication;
- availability;
- and office environment.
These categories are intended to reflect a customers experience with a physician and not reflect quality of care provided, according to the press release.
The survey will also offer a comments section.
For each network physician, the online entry will display contact information, ratings on a 30-point scale for each of the four categories, and the percentage of customers who recommend that physician. The Zagat Health Survey tool and results are available free of charge to all BCBS of North Carolina customers.
