Center for Devices and Radiological Health Releases 2011 Ombudsman Report

The Center for Devices and Radiological Health released the 2011 ombudsman report detailing 461 inquiries, complaints and disputes from 2011, according to an FDA report.

The number of contacts with the ombudsman increased 11 percent from 2010 and nearly doubled from the 250 inquiries made in 2009. Nearly two-thirds of the contacts came from within the industry with others coming from consumers (23 percent), healthcare providers (7 percent) and internal employees (5 percent).
