Staff members were notified of the closure on Aug. 4. Officials from Banner Health said that after assessing current and projected cases volumes as well as other alternatives, a majority of stakeholders voted to close the center.

NCSC opened in 2001 by the creation of an LLC with physicians, North Colorado Medical Center and other investors, according to the report. In Oct. 2008, Banner Health was included as a financial and operating partner.
