ASCs among 130 organizations recognized for quality

More than 130 Michigan hospitals, physician practices, nursing homes, inpatient psychiatric facilities, ASCs and home health agencies received the 2019 Governor’s Award of Excellence, Midland Daily News reports.

Created in 2003, the Governor’s Award of Excellence recognizes organizations in Michigan that improve healthcare quality and patient safety.

This year’s recipients were judged on their efforts related to heart health, antibiotic stewardship, nursing home care, diabetes management, adult immunizations, identification of behavioral health conditions, and effective reporting and measurement.
