Pamela J. Ertel, RN, BSN, RNFA, CNOR, FABC, CASC, is the administrative director of The Reading (Pa.) Hospital SurgiCenter at Spring Ridge. In this capacity, Ms. Ertel oversees daily operations at the eight-OR surgery center.
Prior to joining The Reading Hospital more than 10 years ago, Mr. Ertel served as facility administrator and director of operations at the company’s Exeter Surgery Center for more than five years.
Apart from her management role at The Reading Hospital SurgiCenter, Ms. Ertel serves as president of the Pennsylvania Ambulatory Surgery Association. As president of PASA, she provided testimony to the Pennsylvania House Insurance Committee and met with the Executive Deputy Secretary and Secretary of Health to discuss challenges to the ASC industry.
