John Santelli is the chief information officer of Optum, which merged with Surgical Care Affiliates in January 2017. In his role as CIO, Mr. Santelli works to strengthen Optum's information technology outsourcing, business processing, cloud services and software.
From 2004 to 2006. Mr. Santelli was the CIO of Uniprise Technologies and was the chief technology officer for UnitedHealth Group from 2002 to 2004.
Mr. Santelli has his master's in software engineering from Schenectady, N.Y.-based Union College.
