Jim Stilley is the CEO of Northwest Michigan Surgery Center, a multispecialty surgery center in Traverse City, Mich. For nearly eight years, Mr. Stilley has led a team of more than 120 physicians and 130 clinical and administrative professionals. The surgery center performs more than 18,000 procedures each year.
Prior to joining NMSC, Mr. Stilley was recruited by National Surgical Care and served as executive director. He also served as a lieutenant commander in the U.S. Navy. During his time in the Naval Service, he served as administrator Great Lakes Naval Hospital, an executive with TRICARE and group practice administrator for an eighty physician multi-specialty group.
Mr. Stilley was the president of the Michigan Ambulatory Surgery Association from 2006 to 2010 and currently serves on the board of directors for the Traverse City Chamber of Commerce.
In a recent interview with Becker’s ASC Review, Mr. Stilley discussed how he achieves maximum employee productivity while maintaining employee satisfaction.
