Jay Rom, MBA, CPA, is president of Blue Chip Surgical Partners, an ASC management and development company based in Cincinnati that focuses on spine, multi-specialty and physician/hospital joint-venture ASCs.
Before joining Blue Chip, he served as CEO of a cardiology group in Cincinnati with 15 physicians and was vice president for physician services of the Franciscan Health System, where he was responsible for a 60-physician multispecialty group. His other leadership roles include a stint as director/controller of a 200,000-member HMO that was later acquired by United HealthCare. After the acquisition, Mr. Rom served as an accounting and finance executive.
Mr. Rom also played an instrumental role in launching a venture capital-backed physician practice management company in Dayton, Ohio.
