Frank J. Chapman, MBA, is the COO of Asheville (N.C.) Gastroenterology Associates and Endoscopy Center, which is comprised of 17 board-certified gastroenterologists and seven mid-level providers who specialize in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal conditions. Mr. Chapman has held this leadership position at AHA since 2001.
Apart from helping oversee operations at AHA, Mr. Chapman is also deeply involved in gastroenterology advocacy groups. He is past president of the Medical Group Management Association Gastroenterology Administrators Assembly and a founding member of that group’s patient safety and quality committee. Mr. Chapman is also the first non-physician to hold a seat on the practice management committee of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and is a member of the AAAHC board of directors.
