ASC Leader to Know: Dr. William Crowder Jr. of Women’s Healthcare Affiliates

William Crowder Jr., MD, FACOG, is a founding partner of Women’s Healthcare Affiliates in The Woodlands, Texas. Dr. Crowder also helped start the Conroe (Texas) Surgery Center in 1983 with 16 other physicians. The ASC was re-syndicated and a new larger facility was built in 2003. He has been chair of the board of managers at the new facility.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Crowder also serves on the 2012 board of directors for the Texas Ambulatory Surgery Center Society and has been on the HealthSouth board of advisors for the past four years. He is also a member of the Texas Medical Association and the Texas Association of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Crowded completed his medical education at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and residency at the Naval Regional Medical Center in San Diego. Dr. Crowder also completed a fellowship in medical genetics at Baylor College of Medicine. He is board-certified through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
