Bryan Massoud, MD, is founder and head surgeon at Spine Centers of America, which specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery. Spine Centers of America spans three locations and includes fellowship-trained, board-certified endoscopic laser spine surgeons with extensive experience performing endoscopic spine procedures.

Dr. Massoud earned his medical degree from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and underwent further training in spine surgery at Texas Back Institute in Plano. To date, he has performed more than 1,000 endoscopic spine surgeries, including endoscopic cervical spine surgery. He also trains spine surgeons in endoscopic procedures.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Massoud holds memberships in several professional organizations, including the North American Spine Society, the New Jersey Spine Society, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery and the New Jersey Orthopedic Society.

“There is a saying in spine — you never want to be the first, you never want to be the last [to do something new],” Dr. Massoud said in a recent Becker’s Spine Review interview. “The time for sitting on the sidelines and waiting to determine whether [minimally invasive] is beneficial or not is over. There is enough outcome-driven proof that minimally invasive works.”
