ASC Leader to Know: Dianne Wallace of Menomonee Falls Ambulatory Surgery Center

Dianne Wallace, RN, BSM, MBA, is the executive director of the Menomonee Falls (Wis.) Ambulatory Surgery Center, a multispecialty ASC that was formed as a joint venture between a local community hospital and two larger medical groups in 1993. The ASC has done more than 12,000 cases since 2002 and includes 45 active physicians specializing in gastroenterology, general surgery, orthopedics, pain, ENT, gynecology, podiatry, ophthalmology, urology and plastic. Ms. Wallace has played a critical role in the facility’s success for more than 10 years.

In addition to her extensive leadership experience in the ambulatory setting, Ms. Wallace has served in a number of leadership roles in other healthcare settings. She previously served as the director of clinical services at All Saints Healthcare System, vice president of home healthcare at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare System and vice president of home healthcare for Covenant Healthcare System. She first entered the world of healthcare as a registered nurse.

Ms. Wallace has also served as president of the Wisconsin Surgery Center Association and the MGMA Ambulatory Surgery Center Assembly executive committee. She currently serves on the board of directors for ASCA.
