Christian Ellison is senior vice president of corporate development at Health Inventures, which has brokered and managed physician and hospital joint ventures in ASCs and surgical hospitals for more than 15 years. Mr. Ellison has been instrumental in building Health Inventures’ business domestically and internationally by forming numerous physician/hospital joint-venture partnerships. His previous leadership roles at Health Inventures include a stint as managing director of Health Inventures’ European-based subsidiary. He first joined the company in 1998.
Before joining Health Inventures, Mr. Ellison was a senior healthcare consultant with Arthur Andersen, where he focused mainly on physician practice formation and acquisition, business planning and operations improvement for hospital-owned physician organizations. Mr. Ellison also previously served as an administrative director at a large orthopedic physician group practice in the 1990s.
Mr. Ellison recently announced Health Inventures is diversifying its business with the addition of several new service lines — perioperative management and anesthesia services, physician services and human resources. Health Inventures officially launched the services last summer.
“The ability for doctors and hospitals to work effectively together is going to be critical to each of those entities’ success long-term,” Mr. Ellison said. “In terms of running physician-led organizations, we have a track record of delivering results and seeing what works and what doesn’t.”
