Alisa Fischer, CASC, is the administrator of St. Augustine (Fla.) Surgery Center. The center was formerly owned by a hospital corporation and was subsequently purchased in May 2006 by Ambulatory Surgical Centers of America. The multi-specialty center offers ENT, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pain management, podiatry and urology. Ms. Fischer joined the center in July 2006.
Prior to joining St. Augustine, she served as an administrator at HCA for two years and manager of surgery at BayCare Health System for nine years. She also ran the OR schedule at a 16-suite OR in Lexington, Ky.
