The Interventional Spine and Pain Management ASC is licensed exclusively for single-specialty pain management and contains two operating rooms. Dr. Fowler and the center’s other physician, Rhee Miller, MD, focus on non-surgical and advanced minimally invasive techniques to treat the root of spine pain.
A board-certified anesthesiologist and leading pain practitioner, Dr. Fowler has served the East Atlanta area with pain management procedures since 2005. He has performed more than 5,000 epidurals and prides himself on keeping his practice at the forefront of medical technology.
Dr. Fowler did not begin his career as a physician. After receiving his bachelor’s degree from Auburn (Ala.) University, he spent five years working in the pharmaceutical industry and construction contracting. Despite his success in these fields, he was drawn to clinical medicine and decided to pursue a medical degree. Following his MD, he completed his residency in anesthesiology at Emory University at Atlanta and undertook a fellowship in the university’s interventional pain program.
A recognized leader in pain management, Dr. Fowler has spoken at top medical universities, hospitals and community programs around the country. He has also served as a pain management advisor to several private insurance carriers. He currently holds memberships with the American Academy of Pain Medicine, the National Pain Foundation and the American Society of Anesthesia, among others.
