Board certified in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and head and neck surgery, Dr. Daube received his medical degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine in Albuquerque and completed both his general surgery internship and his head and neck surgery residency at the University of New Mexico Hospital. He also completed a fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at Louisiana State University in Eunice.
At the 18th Annual Ambulatory Surgery Centers Conference in Chicago in 2011, Dr. Daube discussed the partnership between Surgical Center for Excellence and ASD Management and the process of “turning around” the surgery center, which he said was initially losing $30,000 to $40,000 per month under the management of the center’s physician partners. After interviewing several management companies, Dr. Daube said the partners decided on ASD Management to assist with the turnaround process. “Any company that brings a surgery center out of a bad situation has a better chance of sticking around in the long run than companies that are there from the beginning,” said Dr. Daube. “Physicians will take a management company for granted if they don’t know any better. If they have made mistakes, they are gratified for the help.”
