Amkai Recognized Among Top Six EMRs by Parsons Institute for Information Mapping

Amkai was recently featured in a prestigious research report published by the Parsons Institute for Information Mapping, a research, development and services arm of the New School in New York, which named six electronic medical record software systems as having strong user interface, design and usability features, according to an Amkai news release.

PIIM selected these systems after reviewing some 50 commercially available solutions. Amkai was the only one of the six vendors whose software was specifically designed for the outpatient surgery environment, according to the release.

PIIM conducted the study at the request of the U.S. Department of Defense to provide input on potential improvements to the Department’s Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application, an internally-developed EMR system for the military.

The study analyzed Amkai’s integrated suite that includes AmkaiOffice, an administrative management solution, and AmkaiCharts, an electronic medical record application.

PIMM stated in the study, “Amkai software are very simple and straightforward systems without complicated hierarchy. They are highly usable as well as user friendly.”
