Mr. Macies has over 20 years of experience in sales and service for the software industry and brings valuable expertise to the company as it enters a significant new phase of growth and market expansion, according to the release. Mr. Macies previously served as a partner with two major national consulting firms, Accenture and Unisys, and served in leadership roles in the healthcare practices of those firms. He has also held top leadership positions at small and large information technology and software companies, according to the release.
Amkai’s current CEO, Peter Sereny, MD, will assume a new role as founder, chief technology officer and chief medical officer of the company and will continue to guide the company’s product development efforts.
