Canonsburg General Hospital focused on reducing the average length of stay for a patient to improve financial responsibility.
“Our chief medical officer, Thomas Corkery, DO became directly involved by speaking to physicians and posting the average length of stay reports by physician name,” said Kim Malinky, president and CEO of Canonsburg General Hospital, in the news release. “Having everyone work collaboratively, doctors, nurses and case managers, helped us achieve operational and financial improvement.”
