AMA Reveals 1st Phase of Improving Health Outcomes Initiative

The American Medical Association announced the first phase of its new Improving Health Outcomes initiative: preventing cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes and improving health outcomes for people with these conditions.

To prevent cardiovascular disease, the AMA will work with the Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality, part of Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins Medicine, to find and share the causes and solutions of high blood pressure.
