The American Medical Association and the Medical Group Management Association have partnered to develop a new online toolkit to assist members with Medicare enrollment, according to a joint news release.

The toolkit will be available on both organizations’ Web sites and is intended to make the Medicare enrollment process easier by outlining the new policies for physicians, allowing them to successfully enroll without interruptions to patient care or Medicare reimbursements.

CMS’s latest enrollment guidelines require physicians to report address changes and bill retroactively for services rendered within 30 days, a significant reduction in the time period allowed by previous guidelines.
