Alex Gorsky Elected Chairman of Johnson & Johnson

Johnson & Johnson has announced Alex Gorsky has been elected chairman of its board of directors, according to a news release.

Mr. Gorsky was appointed CEO of Johnson & Johnson earlier this year. He will assume the chairman title and additional leadership responsibilities on Dec. 28.

 

Current Chairman Bill Weldon will step down as chairman on that date. He will retire in the first quarter of 2013.

Johnson & Johnson is headquartered in New Brunswick, N.J.
