Here are four observations:
1. DVACO provides care for nearly 100,000 people who have Medicare and has arrangements with 671 primary care physicians.
2. DVACO’s deal with Aetna gives the ACO access to an additional 70,000 patients who already obtain care with those participating physicians.
3. Various hospitals in the Philadelphia and Delaware area own DVACO, including Pa.-based Main Line Health, Jefferson Health, Holy Redeemer Health System, Doylestown Health and Magee Rehabilitation Hospital.
4. The deal will take effect in April.
