A study done on behalf of the devicemakers organization predicted a nearly 11 percent cut for the U.S. medical technology sector due to $2.67 billion in extra taxes.
The study said the tax would put more than 43,000 U.S. jobs at risk by forcing device companies to move production out of the country.
