AAOS Names Dr. Frederick Azar First Vice President

Frederick M. Azar, MD, was elected first vice president of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Board of Directors at its annual meeting in Chicago in March, according to an AAOS News Now report.

Dr. Azar is chief-of-staff at Campbell Clinic in Germantown, Tenn., and is a professor and director of the sports medicine fellowship program in the department of orthopedic surgery at University of Tennessee-Campbell Clinic in Memphis. He is a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy Association of North America and American Orthopaedic Association.
