Advanced Sterilization Products Voluntarily Recalls Sterilization Product

Advanced Sterilization Products has voluntarily recalled its STERRAD CYCLESURE 24 Biological Indicator.

ASP determined that it does not have adequate data to support the entire duration of the product’s labeled 15-month shelf-life. As a result, the company has recommended healthcare providers subtract nine months from each affected lot’s printed expiration date and manually re-label the affected products. If affected products are expired, ASP has outlined specific return instructions.

The FDA has been notified and is aware of ASP’s voluntary action.
