AAAHC Announces 2010-11 Officers

The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care has announced its new Officers for 2010-2011, according to an AAAHC news release.

The new officers are:

  • President Marshall M. Baker, MS, FACMPE, a surveyor for the AAAHC since the organization’s inception. He is the immediate past chair of the Association’s Standards and Survey Procedures Committee and is the 2004 recipient of the Harry J. Harwick Lifetime Achievement in Healthcare Award. Mr. Baker represents the Medical Group Management Association, one of 16 member organizations whose representatives serve on the AAAHC Board.
  • Vice President Jack Egnatinsky, MD, medical director of the AAAHC and a board certified anesthesiologist. He has been an AAAHC surveyor since 1996 and is an instructor for the AAAHC Surveyor Training Program and serves on the board of directors for the AAAHC Institute for Quality Improvement. He represents the Ambulatory Surgery Foundation on the AAAHC board.
  • Treasurer Karen McKellar, who represents the MGMA on the board and served as chair of the AAAHC Accreditation Committee from 2005-2009. She previously was a Senior Administrator for the Lake Chelan Clinic in Chelan, Wash., and served a term as president of the Washington State Medical Group Management Association in 2002-2003 and was on its board for 22 years.
  • Secretary Margaret Spear, MD, adjunct professor and clinical professor of medicine and director of University Health Services at Pennsylvania State University. She currently serves as chair of the AAAHC Accreditation Committee and has been a surveyor for the AAAHC since 1994. She represents the American College Health Association.
