4 .Mean annual wage of those who worked in physician officers was $203,850.

6. The top paying state for oral and maxillofacial surgeons was West Virginia, followed by South Carolina, New Mexico, Kansas and Illinois.  
7. The highest concentration of oral and maxillofacial surgeons practiced in New York, where the annual mean wage was $207,850.
