3. Florida Department of Health in Palm Beach County Chief Medical Director and epidemiologist Robert Parkes, MD, recommended children be kept home for 48 hours after symptoms subside.
4. Dr. Parkes also said thorough hand washing is the best prevention method for spreading the disease.
5. According to the CDC, norovirus is the most common cause of acute gastroenteritis in the United States.
