New Premier Contracts Dispel Fears of Supplier Exodus From GPOs

Medtronic dropped more $2 billion worth of supply contracts with Premier and other GPOs earlier this year, prompting speculation that more med-tech companies would follow suit to escape the discounts that GPOs require.

But the exodus has not materialized. Premier’s latest contracts follow two new cardiovascular contracts it announced at the end of May.
