Through Bluetooth, the driver’s glucose level is displayed on the car’s dashboard display. If the driver’s glucose level becomes too low, an alert sounds or a signal appears on the display. Drivers can then stop and eat or drink glucose-rich foods or beverages.
The partnership with Medtronic is part of Ford’s health and wellness initiative to help people with chronic conditions such as diabetes, asthma and allergies manage their condition while driving.
