Dr. Hildebrand is CEO of Nantiox, a local startup working on nanotechnology to prevent blindness caused by retinal diseases such as age-related macular degeneration, glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy.
He and Jim McGinnis, MD, professor of ophthalmology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and lead researcher on the project, have been quite successful securing state and federal grants for the company.
